    A deeply nourishing and calming practice, using props for support and moving through a series of held poses, working deeply into the connective tissue of the body. Finding stillness, breathing optimally and focusing the mind you will release physical tension and whatever lies beneath, to help you feel more grounded, release stress, relax and prepare for a sound nights sleep. With a sense of openness and possibility we explore philosophical ideas from the yoga tradition, perhaps broadening our perspective and inspiring positive transformation on and off the mat.

    Open to everyone. Particularly beneficial to anyone recovering from illness or injury, suffering from stress, anxiety or insomnia.

    Ease into the week with gentle yoga, breathing and sound relaxation in Tuesday evenings.

    This class is for anyone who wish to practice gently and relax deeply. Beginning with calming breathwork and gentle, flowing, breath-led movement before transitioning into a relaxation infused with the healing energy of sound.

    This is a mat based practice from standing, seated and lying down. Options and variations will be given so that you can practice in a way that nurtures and supports your body.

    Fourth Friday of each Month 7pm

    Yoga for Deep Rest is a way to develop your capacity for relaxation and inspire you to make active rest part of your daily life. In this class we will begin by practicing breathing techniques to calm and soothe the autonomic nervous system before settling into a series of held restorative yoga poses to support the physical body to let go of tension and sink into stillness. The session will end with a Yoga Nidra practice - an effortless, guided, deep relaxation taking you to a state somewhere between dreaming and wakefulness.

    This series of practices is designed to draw you into the relaxation response - a state which promotes deep healing and profound rest physically, mentally and emotionally.

    Be bathed in the in healing sounds of singing bowls, gong, buffalo drum and ethereal chimes. Nothing to do...just be…as you rest deeply, replenish and reset. Instruments will be played on or close to the body so that you can absorb all you need from these healing frequencies.

    We begin with a gentle breathwork and a series of long held yin yoga postures releasing deeply into the connective tissues of the body. An opportunity to let go of long held tension and whatever lies beneath before settling in to stillness and transitioning into a healing soundbath.

    This potent combination of yin yoga and therapeutic sound will leave you with an indelible sense of tranquility, renewed energy and a deeper connection to your true self.
