About me

I have a special interest in the power of yoga, breathing and relaxation practices to regulate the autonomic nervous system and positively shift internal state. I love to share what I consider to be essential tools for managing life’s challenges, guiding therapeutic breathing, meditation, yin yoga and sound relaxation, one to one and through events, courses and group classes in London & online.

I first came to yoga over 15 years ago. I was initially drawn to dynamic, movement based, practice simply as a form of exercise however time, lots of practice, study and some very special teachers have led me to understand yoga as so much more than this. I now see yoga as a state of being. A slowing and stilling of the mind to connect with the heart. As my practice and teaching evolve, I find myself drawn more and more to slower, stiller, more meditative forms of practice which guide towards a deep state of presence from where we can dive inwards to explore the essence of yoga.

I believe yoga is for everybody and it has always been my aim to share these powerful practices with diverse groups who may not ordinarily have access to yoga or feel it is for them. Alongside teaching in London yoga studios, I also work in community and healthcare settings sharing yoga to support mental health and I guide a specialist weekly yoga, breathing and peer support session for Long COVID and Chronic Fatigue conditions.

I have undertaken many specialist training courses including three yin yoga teacher training courses, sound healing and mantra, specialist training in breath science and yoga therapy for various health conditions where the autonomic nervous system is dysregulated including chronic stress, anxiety, burn-out, Long COVID and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. There is more information on my training and qualifications below.

The various practices I share are all aimed at cooling and calming the autonomic nervous system to help us feel more grounded, accepting and connect us to our sense of trust in life whatever challenges we face. I aim to share yoga in a way which feels safe and inclusive, and which gives a sense of autonomy and empowerment to participants. My classes are heart led and creative, but supported by the latest scientific research and it is my hope that those I teach will benefit from the life changing practice and philosophy of yoga as much as I have.
